About – Fernando Vicente Self-taught,<\/span> his early work<\/span> as an illustrator<\/span> appeared in the<\/span> first half of the<\/span> eighties<\/span>. It was <\/span>in the middle of<\/span> movida madrile\u00f1a<\/span>, magazines<\/span> Madriz<\/span>, <\/span><\/span>and<\/span> La<\/span> Luna<\/span> Madrid <\/span><\/span>where<\/span> continuously<\/span> published<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After this initial<\/span> period<\/span>, for nearly<\/span> a decade<\/span> he put aside<\/span> the artwork as<\/span> their main occupation<\/span>, to spend the<\/span> advertising<\/span> sector where it<\/span> would be<\/span> art director at<\/span> various<\/span> agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Back in the<\/span> world of illustration<\/span>, from 1999 to the present<\/span> published<\/span> regularly<\/span> in the newspaper<\/span> El Pa\u00eds<\/span> and its various<\/span> supplements like <\/span>ollaborations<\/span> in the cultural<\/span> Babelia. <\/span>Thanks to this work<\/span> has won three<\/span> Awards of<\/span> Excellence<\/span> from the<\/span> Society for News<\/span> Design.<\/span><\/p>\n

His art<\/span> has appeared in<\/span> magazines<\/span> such as Europe<\/span> Viva,<\/span> Ronda<\/span> Iberia<\/span>, Pencil, Rock de Lux<\/span>, Vogue<\/span>, Playboy,<\/span> Gentleman<\/span>, Letras Libres,<\/span> Interviu<\/span>, Cosmopolitan or<\/span> DT<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Besides his work<\/span> for<\/span> newspapers and magazines<\/span>, has done<\/span> covers of<\/span> books<\/span> and records. A<\/span>s well as illustrations<\/span> of<\/span> more than twenty<\/span> books, both<\/span> aimed at children<\/span> and young people<\/span> and adults.<\/span><\/p>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    The work<\/span> as a painter of<\/span> Fernando<\/span> Vicente<\/span> is characterized<\/span> by the constant presence<\/span> of the human figure. He<\/span> combined<\/span> with other elements<\/span> that the author<\/span> has collected<\/span> throughout<\/span> his life.<\/span> Thus, of the<\/span> four major<\/span> series<\/span> grouping<\/span> his paintings:<\/span><\/p>\n
